Soft Tissue Grafting – The Principles

Soft Tissue Grafting - The Principles

60 Minute lecture with Dr Lincoln Harris and Dr Florin Bobia.

Soft Tissue Lecture

Soft tissue grafting is part of restorative and implant dentistry.

You restore the gum tissue that's receded and you restore the tooth that's damaged.

It's part of restorative and implant dentistry and you can't do one without a knowledge of the other.

Even if you don't do the treatment you need to understand it so you can refer it out. It's very difficult to do crowns when the soft tissue is flimsy when there is no attached tissue.

It opens your practice up so much to a new field of treatment that you can give your patients great benefits and great for your practice to build extra procedures, extra busyness without having to attract new people.

Soft Tissue Grafting makes your restorative cases look more beautiful and it makes them easier.

Soft Tissue Grafting gives you the confidence knowing that your implant surgeries are going to give you more predictable outcomes, knowing the foundation is acceptable increasing the success and understanding the failures.

This recording is taken from our full 2-Day lecture on Soft Tissue Grafting.

Dr Lincoln Harris will discuss:

Patients with bone and soft tissue defects wanting things to look better- this course helped me to treatment plan for this and learn more about what/where/when/how and why

Dr Kathryn Burns

You start off way out of your depth but Lincoln holds your hand and walks you through it.

Dr Qasim Shahid

Great practical teacher that ensures you are competent before you finish the course.

Dr Nick Papageorgiou

Very enjoyable course to learn basic skills for Free Gingival Grafts & SECTGs. Great hands-on component.

Dr Tharini Hettiarachchi

Thoroughly enjoyed the course. Without doing massive tunnel grafts, there are many applications for the soft tissue skills learnt here to add more finesse to the things I'm currently doing. Everyone can take away something from this course and start implementing these skills straight away.

Dr Kathryn Burns

I already do flaps and suturing regularly, however, what I learnt today will improve all surgery I will do, not just grafting.

Dr Neeraj Bangalore

Fantastic, well-organised course. Theory component blended seamlessly into the practical hands-on component. This course gave me the confidence to begin simple procedures when I get home

Dr Camelia Maris

I found the course extremely informative and eye-opening. It makes you look at soft tissues in a different way and increases your ability to manage soft tissues a lot more appropriately. Overall, I am definitely a better clinician for it.

Dr Arun Gnanachelvan

I do quite a bit of surgery but I wanted to do better. I believe this course allows me to do just that.

Dr Alvin Lee

Great course, lots of time to improve suturing and flap management. Some lectures were slightly too complex for my level of experience but good to see what is possible in the future.

Dr Ram Nair Dentist

I have been chasing soft tissue all over the globe. I attended Lincoln Harris' Stockholm program last year and really found what I was looking for. The modified harvest techniques and suturing skills were exactly what i was looking for.

I will be taking this again for sure.

Dr Michael Melkers

Dr Lincoln Harris says:

"Dentistry is HARD! What I share on the Online Dental Academy are the things I wish someone had shared with me when I was starting out.

...Over the last 20 years I have learned by trial and error what works and what doesn't. My team and I have compiled a database of clinical, practice management and patient communication videos, tips and tricks that will assist in your development as a dentist.”

“Every practicing dentist I’ve spoken with agrees that our university grad skillset barely scratched the surface of what we need to know to do high end dentistry.

It’s actually really hard to prioritize all the possible continuing education topics. So after years of learning the hard way myself, I have developed a series of lectures to pave the way for others.

In real life clinical timeframes, efficiency is key. Which is why we tackle Posterior Quadrant Dentistry first, and then move on to aesthetics with Anterior Dentistry.

With the skills that you have gained during the first two modules, you will be ready to venture into Full Arch Dentistry. And then Soft Tissue Grafting techniques, which perfect the frame of your restorative artistry.

This sequence of courses will help prepare you for Full Mouth Rehabilitation.”
