Radosław Jadach in Sydney.
What a course and an opportunity for us all to learn from such a surgical savant. From the moment he walked into the room and loaded his presentation (which continued to grow throughout the 4 days)
I was captivated by the knowledge he so willingly shared. Tips, tricks and techniques flowed. It's always nice to be told HOW to do something but I think what sets him apart from many others is he tells you what NOT to do also. "Learn from my mistakes" he said as another pearl of surgical wisdom was provided.
Thank you to Lincoln Harris and his team for organizing the event and I would totally put my hand up for the next one! Since the man doesn't sleep, I'm sure he will use the time us mere mortals waste during this activity, to work on even more amazing techniques to bring along next time!
Overall rating: All killer, no filler.
Course review (at the airport)
After asking around for a long time about what course to attend for furthering my knowledge in terms of complex grafting techniques, this course became available. Coming into the course it was expecting some pretty cutting edge stuff as Lincoln Harris and Radosław Jadach's reputation are well know.
I got way more then what I thought I was in for. Each of the 3 days of lecture were bursting with new information. Whilst I always thought I was a pretty well informed dentist, though course made me realize how much gap still existed in not only my hands on skill but my knowledge.
About the 3 day Lecture:
The information was jam packed and challenged what we thought was possible. Before this course I didn't think it was remotely possible to do a sinus lift via the palate.
The best part of the course is the constant reference to first principle thus forcing you to think!!!
Each session was around 90min with a generous break in between to recharge. Food was definitely above par compared to most seminars I've been to.
Pros: Information that are applicable and logical. Very approachable presenter that encouraged questions. List goes on.... the vibe in the lecture was great.
Cons: Some of the product may or may not be in oz and had Polish names, would be nice to know the oz equivalent.
Day 4 Hands-On
This day was even more intense with models and pig heads surgery. It was awesome!!!
Finally we had a chance to put to use some of the 3 days worth of knowledge. Loved this part
Pros: Enhanced the lecture 150% as we now can try things ourselves and be corrected when we stuff up.
Cons: Not long enough time allocated. As some of us discussed in the taxi, we felt either a 5th day was required or maybe 2.5 day lecture and 1.5 day hands on.
Overall, thoroughly enjoyed this course and considering redoing it once I get more clinical practice.
Thank you for holding such a wonderful course.
